All-Purpose Bleach Cleaner
A hydrogen-peroxide-based whitening booster — brightens whites and lifts stains without the fumes or chlorine residue of conventional bleach.
What you'll need
- 1 cup 3% hydrogen peroxide
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- A large basin or the washing machine drum
Steps
- Combine the hydrogen peroxide and lemon juice.
- Add the mixture to your wash cycle along with your regular detergent, or presoak whites in a basin for 30 minutes first.
- Wash as usual and dry in sunlight when possible for an extra whitening boost.
Tip: Store hydrogen peroxide in its original opaque bottle — light breaks it down quickly, so it loses potency in a clear container.
