Aluminum Cleaner
A cream of tartar paste brightens dull aluminum surfaces — its mild acidity cuts oxidation without scratching the soft metal.
What you'll need
- 2 tbsp cream of tartar
- Water, enough to form a paste
Steps
- Mix cream of tartar with a little water into a paste.
- Rub onto the aluminum surface with a soft cloth.
- Rinse thoroughly and buff dry.
Tip: Avoid harsh steel wool on aluminum — it's a soft metal that scratches more easily than stainless steel.
