Bleach
A simple, chlorine-free whitener built from hydrogen peroxide — a milder alternative for whites that still need real brightening power.
What you'll need
- 1 cup 3% hydrogen peroxide
Steps
- Add the hydrogen peroxide directly to your wash cycle where you'd normally pour bleach.
- Wash as usual on the appropriate cycle for the fabric.
- Dry in direct sunlight when possible for an extra whitening effect.
Tip: Never mix hydrogen peroxide with vinegar in a sealed container — combined, they can form a mild peracetic acid that's irritating in concentrated form. Use one or the other per load.
