Color-Safe Bleach
A brightening boost safe for colored fabrics — lifts dinge without the fading risk that chlorine bleach carries.
What you'll need
- 1/2 cup washing soda
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
Steps
- Add the washing soda and lemon juice directly to your wash cycle along with your regular detergent.
- Wash on the warmest setting the fabric care label allows.
- Always test a hidden seam first with new or delicate colored garments.
Tip: Washing soda is more alkaline than baking soda — wear gloves if you have sensitive skin when handling it directly.
