Disinfectant
Vinegar and hydrogen peroxide, sprayed one after the other, disinfect kitchen surfaces as effectively as many commercial cleaners — used in two separate bottles, never premixed.
What you'll need
- Undiluted white vinegar (one spray bottle)
- 3% hydrogen peroxide (a separate spray bottle)
Steps
- Spray the surface with vinegar and let sit for a few seconds.
- Spray with hydrogen peroxide.
- Wipe clean with a fresh cloth or paper towel.
Tip: Never combine vinegar and hydrogen peroxide in the same bottle — mixed together they form peracetic acid, which is corrosive and irritating.
