Gentle Eyewash
A cooled, well-strained chamomile infusion offers a gentler alternative to a saline rinse for mild eye irritation.
What you'll need
- 1 chamomile tea bag
- 1 cup boiled, cooled distilled water
- A very fine cloth or coffee filter for straining
Steps
- Steep chamomile in boiled water, then let cool completely.
- Strain very thoroughly through a fine cloth to remove all particles.
- Use a sterilized eye cup to rinse the eye gently.
Tip: Skip this if you're allergic to ragweed, and see an eye doctor for anything beyond mild, brief irritation.
