Ivory Cleaner
A gentle wipe for real or faux ivory surfaces — piano keys, buttons, and trim — that avoids yellowing from harsher solvents.
What you'll need
- 1 tsp mild dish soap
- 1 cup warm water
- A soft, lint-free cloth
Steps
- Mix the dish soap into the warm water until slightly sudsy.
- Dampen the cloth in the solution and wring out excess — it should be barely moist.
- Wipe the surface gently in one direction, never soaking the material.
- Dry immediately with a separate clean, dry cloth.
Tip: Never let water pool on ivory or ivory-look plastic — trapped moisture is the most common cause of warping and yellowing over time.
