Metal Polish

A vinegar and salt paste brings shine back to copper, brass, and stainless steel kitchenware — the acid in vinegar dissolves tarnish that a dry cloth can't touch.

What you'll need

Steps

  1. Dissolve salt in vinegar, then stir in flour to form a paste.
  2. Rub onto the tarnished metal with a soft cloth.
  3. Let sit 10 minutes, then rinse and buff dry.
Tip: Not for silver — use the dedicated Silver Cleaners recipes instead, since the acidity here is too aggressive for silver's softer finish.
