Saddle Soap

Photo of leather boots or a saddle

A castile soap and beeswax blend, the traditional deep-clean-and-condition formula for boots, saddles, and heavy-use leather goods.

What you'll need

Steps

  1. Melt beeswax and oil together gently over low heat.
  2. Stir in the grated soap until fully dissolved.
  3. Pour into a tin and let cool and harden.
  4. Apply with a damp cloth, working into the leather, then buff.
Tip: A little goes a long way — over-application leaves a waxy residue on the surface.
