Silverware Cleaner
A foil-and-baking-soda bath sized for a full set of flatware — clean an entire holiday silverware set at once instead of piece by piece.
What you'll need
- A large pot or basin lined with foil
- 2 quarts hot water
- 1/4 cup baking soda
Steps
- Line the basin with foil, shiny side up.
- Dissolve baking soda in hot water and pour in.
- Lay the flatware in the basin, making sure each piece touches the foil.
- Let sit 5–10 minutes, then rinse and dry each piece.
Tip: Don't overcrowd the basin — pieces stacked on top of each other won't all make foil contact.
