Spot Stopper
A portable stain stick for on-the-go accidents — small enough to keep in a bag or car for the moment a spill happens away from home.
What you'll need
- 2 tbsp liquid castile soap
- 1 tsp glycerin
- A small travel-size squeeze bottle
Steps
- Combine the castile soap and glycerin in the small bottle and shake to mix.
- At the first sign of a spill, blot (don't rub) the spot with a napkin to remove excess liquid.
- Dab a small amount of the mixture directly onto the stain and work it in gently with a fingertip.
- Launder normally as soon as you're able — the treatment buys time, not a permanent fix.
Tip: The sooner you treat a fresh stain, the better the odds — waiting until you're home often lets it set into the fibers.
